Ann Witt

Ann Witt, age 76, of Hackensack, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2007 at her home. She was born March 17, 1931 in Bellevue, IA, to Anton and Irma Michels. Ann graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1949, and married Kenneth Witt at St. Joseph's in Bellevue on April 24, 1954. She worked the lunch shift at Rastrelli's in Clinton, IA, for 20 years before moving to Hackensack, to operate a resort until retiring.
Ann is survived by her husband, Ken; her ten children: Stephen of Marshfield, WI, Kathy McGuire (Mark) of Omaha, NE, Karen Witt of Clinton, IA, Michael of Pewaukee, WI, Beverly McGuire (Al) of Monmouth, IL, David (Alex) of Greeley, CO, Susan Hutton (Brian) of Sherard, IL, Jane Roth (Jeff) of Camanche, IA, Jean Matheny (Chris) of Clinton, IA, Mary Michaelsen (Joe) of Fulton, IL; 26 grandchildren; brothers: Thomas Michels of Bellevue, IA, David Michels of Sutton, AK; sisters: Barbara Bainbridge of Bellevue, IA, Jane Weber of St. Donatus, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul.
Services will be 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 24 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Clinton, IA. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 PM at Lemke Funeral Home, Clinton, IA. Local arrangements were with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
