Ann Shannon

Ann Shannon, 81, Baxter, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully with her daughter at her side on December 16th at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. A celebration of her life will be in the Spring of 2022 in Belleville, Illinois.

Ann was born on September 6, 1940, to Carl and Marie (Bellum) Stearns. She lived in Belleville most of her life and graduated from Cahokia High School. In 1982, she married the love of her life, Roger Shannon in Bellville, Illinois. Ann worked her entire career with the Union Pacific Railroad and in 2013 they moved to Baxter, MN to be closer to their daughter. Her biggest joy in life was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Ann is survived by her husband, Roger; daughter, Laurie (John) Raboin; stepdaughter, Melissa Shannon; grandchildren, Nickie Pelch, Maddie Babinsky, Sophie Babinsky, Aury Babinsky, J.J. Raboin, Lilly Raboin, Brad Lax, Drew Lax, Devney Rosin; great grandchildren, Aurora, Ayla, Arlo, Gracie, Mason, Braiden, and Will; brother, Pat Stearns; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Little Andy, Jeff, and Bear; and brother Carl. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s foundation.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
