Andrew Kne

Andrew Michael Kne was born November 29, 1924 in Gilbert, to Frank and Mary (Tomasic) Kne. He graduated from Chisholm High School in 1943, and went on to earn his Bachelors degree from Mankato State University, where he excelled in basketball. He was united in marriage to Marie Vicari in Chisholm on August 12, 1950. He taught school for thirty years, six at Mankato and 24 at Princeton. Andy was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. He was one of the original members of the Ageless Wonderssenior sports team. In 1988, his lifetime dream of retiring to a lake home was fulfilled, allowing him to enjoy fishing with his children and grandchildren. Andy was also an outstanding
Andrew is survived by Marie, his wife of 55 years; children Susan (Mike) Nelson, of Cokato, Dan (Kris) Kne, of Scandia, Patti (Tom) Jeffreys, of Aurora, CO, and David (Maria) Kne, of Bemidji; grandchildren Andrea Sivertson, Becca Nelson, Joe Nelson, Krista Nelson, Lindsay Kne, Andrew Kne, Kelly Kne, and Tara Zieglmeier; great-grandhild Spencer Sivertson; siblings John (Tina) Kne, Rochester Hills, MI, Stanley Kne, St. Paul, Albert (Vera) Kne, Chisholm, Rudy (Alice) Kne, Santa Clarita, CA, Leonard (Ruth) Kne, Coon Rapids, and Bob (Pat) Kne, Union City, MI; sister-in-law Margaret Kne, Thief River Falls; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Sinko; brothers, Joseph, Louis, Frank, Jr., and William Kne; and a grandchild, Brandon Zieglmeier.
