Andrew Froehle, 72, of Browerville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 22, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 29, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Browerville. Family and friends are welcome to gather Thursday evening from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples and one hour prior to Mass at the church on Friday. Andrew will be interred in St. Isadore's Catholic Cemetery in Moran Township.
Andrew was born November 29, 1943, the son of Ray and Anna Froehle. He grew up in Cold Spring and after high school continued his education. For 35 years, Andrew worked as a pipefitter and was a member of the St. Paul Pipefitter's Union. Andrew enjoyed fishing at his year-round lake home where he resided the last 30 years. He also enjoyed woodworking - a talent he used to construct his home on Turtle Lake in Sylvan Shores near Browerville. He liked to grill and be outdoors.
He is survived by his special friend of 27 years, DeVonne Van Mill; brothers, Joseph (Marian) Froehle, of Cold Spring, and Herman (Tovah) Froehle, of Faribault; sisters, Delores Froehle and Diane Schefers, of St. Cloud; sister-in-law, Sharon Froehle; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by DeVonne's sons, Douglas and Bradley Van Mill and her grandson, Ryker Van Mill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Anna; brothers, Frank, Daniel, and Nicholas; and sister, Anna Mae Schwieters.
