Anastasia Davis

Anastasia (Hannigan) Davis, age 98, of Brainerd, MN passed away Monday, July 30, 2001 at Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. A Memorial Mass will be held on August 6, 2001 at 1:00 PM at the Church of The Nativity, in Cleveland, MN with Father Glen Jenson officiating. Burial will be in the Savage Lake Cemetery, in rural Cleveland. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Church of the Nativity. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
Anastasia Mary Davis was born January 1, 1903 in Le Center, MN daughter of Frederick and Margaret (Malloy) Hannigan. She grew up and attended school in Le Center. She was united in marriage to Royal Watt Davis on February 14, 1923 in Le Center. They lived in Cleveland, MN after Royal?s death Anastasia moved to the Minneapolis area where she lived for a few years, moving to Brainerd in 1981. Anastasia was a member of the Catholic Church in Cleveland for many years. She will be remembered for her quick wit, good sense of humor and the Irish sparkle in her eyes.

Anastasia is survived by 2 daughters, Phyllis Burnham of Bloomington, MN formerly of Brainerd; JeNean Langford of Oja, CA; a sister Silverius Axline of Minneapolis, MN; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Her husband, parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death.
