Ambrosia Culbertson

Ambrosia Rose Manija Culbertson, 78, of Randall, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011 at her home. A Memorial Service for Ambrosia will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 10 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall with Father Leo Moenkedick officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. There will also be a reception at the VFW in Randall following the services.

Ambrosia was born April 4, 1932, in the Philippines, the daughter of Hervacio and Dionesia (Largo) Manija. Rose met and married Richard in the Philippines on April 20, 1960. They lived in the Willmar area and the Brainerd Lakes Area before moving to the Randall area several years ago. Rose loved dancing, fishing, camping, and cooking. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets for her grandchildren. Rose's was most proud of becoming a US citizen.

Rose will be sadly missed by her husband, Richard; son, Richard of the Philippines, Janet Culbertson of Randall, and Patricia Culbertson of Spicer; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Merle; and several brothers and sisters.
