Alyssa Marie Wheeler, 17, of Longville, passed away suddenly on June 20th, 2024, when the car she was driving was hit head on by another driver. Her beautiful smile could brighten anyone's day and will be sorely missed by her family and loved ones. Alyssa was passionate about dogs and children and was eagerly looking forward to starting her adulthood with her love Carter and beginning to build a life together.
Alyssa is survived by her parents: Todd and Laura Wheeler; the love of her life Carter Woodwick; her siblings: Dylan Wheeler and Jessica, Ella Wheeler and Jackson, Andrew and Becca Wheeler, Steven Wheeler and Sarah, Brandon and Vicky Wheeler, Travis and Rachel Wheeler, Blake Herman, Ryan, Leah, Finnley, Jamison, Allison, and Autumn; her grandparents: Ellie, Roger and Susan, John and Jan, and Ginny; and her nieces and nephews: Elizabeth, Harper, Clara, Mason, Scarlett, Oliver, Ava, and Lucas.
Alyssa was preceded in death by her brother Deven Wheeler; her great-grandmothers Eleanore and Helen, as well as her grandfather, Kenn.
Alyssa was well known for her kind spirit and thoughtfulness and could always be counted on to be there for her family and friends, in good times and bad. She wasn't afraid to do the hard work and had been working with Carter and her father to renovate the house she planned to move into. She had a love for animals, especially dogs. She and Carter had plans to help shelter rescue dogs once they had moved into their new house. Alyssa was also passionate about children and was hoping to start a family of her own someday, she dreamed of being a mom.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be used to honor Alyssa's passions to help children and animals in need. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 30th at 4:00 pm at Salem Lutheran Church with fellowship and refreshments to follow.
