Alvin Kline

Alvin L. Kline, age 88, of Pine River, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Society, Pine River. He was born to Howard and Grace (Schmelzer) Kline on November 13, 1927, in Winslow, IL. Alvin was a veteran of World War II. He was a former Mayor of Pine River and was a member of the Pine River American Legion, Jenkins VFW and the Pine River Lions.

Alvin is survived by his children: Elaine Satre of Pine River, Deb Pappas (Bruce) of Brainerd, Rod Kline (Diane) of Pine River, Dennis Kline (Thais) of Pine River; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol; brothers, Robert, Kenneth and Orville; sister, Loretta Gardner; a brother and sister who died in infancy; and his grandson, David Langerman.

Services will be 11 AM on Tuesday, December 15, at Riverview Church, Pine River. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 6 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River.
