Allison Brunes

Allison Kathryn Edna Brunes, age 92, of Pequot Lakes, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society, Pine River. She was born to Louie and Esther Arvig on September 8, 1923. She married James Brunes on June 15, 1941.

Jim and Allison traveled extensively, often with friends, wintered in Texas and Arizona and spent summers in Crosslake. An avid outdoors couple, they enjoyed hunting and fishing and traveling into remote places.

Allison is survived by her children: Gary Brunes, Diane Brunes, Galeen Royce (Thomas), Patricia Kline (Roger), Eric Brunes; daughter-in-law, Barb Brunes; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and brother, Gilroy Arvig.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; son, Bruce; grandchildren, Jericho Royce and Jeremy Brunes; and sisters, Dorris Coulter and Janette Johnson.

Services will be 11 AM on Thursday, March 24, at Pequot Lakes Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River.
