Albert P. Frey Sr., age 89, of Randall, passed away at his home, on Sunday, March 10. A Funeral Mass is planned for 11:00 AM Saturday, March 16, at St. James Catholic Church in Randall. The Wake will be held Friday evening from 4-7, at the Brenny Funeral Home in Randall, with a Rosary at 6:30 and Knight's of Columbus Office of the Dead at 7:00 with visitation one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be at the St. James Cemetery.
Albert was born on July 19, 1923, on the family farm in Parker Township, to the late August and Katherine Frey. He was united in marriage to Eleanore Deering, on September 25, 1945, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, in Little Falls. Albert farmed his entire life and work as a bartender at the Randall Liquor Store for 21 years. He was a Parker Township Board member for 30 years, was a Trustee of St James Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, wood harvesting, Polka music, and meeting with the Randall Seniors group.
Albert is survived by his seven daughters, Lenore (Bob) Pallansch of Grey Eagle, MN, Mary (Russ) Cichy of Madison, WI, Bev (Larry) Kautz of Pine Island, MN, Dorothy (Larry) Lampert of Pierz, MN, Barb (Dave) Brown of Brainerd, MN, Linda (Lynn) (Lee) VanDenBroeke of Elkhorn, NE, and Sandy (Tim) Statema of Cushing, MN; one son, Albert (MaryAnn) Frey Jr. of Rochester, MN; 19 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Eleanore; parents; daughter, Patricia; two brothers; and 4 sisters.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Home in Randall.
