Alan Milliman, 68, Breezy Point, died Friday 11/16/07 at his home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11/20/07, at 2 pm at Crosslake Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. John Hill and the Rev. Dr. David Stevens officiating, Burial will be at Pelican Woods Cemetery in Breezy Point. Relatives will receive friends from 5 until 7 pm on Monday, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake.
Alan Milliman is survived by his wife, Jane; two daughters, Jodie (Jim) Anderson, Leesburg, Virginia and Amy (Shane) Stees, Egg Harbor, Wisconsin; his beloved friend, Ernest P. Turbo; two sisters, Doris Wiemken, Defiance, Ohio and Shirley Leslie, Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert.

Alan was born March 23, 1939 in Henry County, Ohio, to the late Harold and Ruth (Willeman) Milliman. He graduated from high school in Napoleon, Ohio. He was united in marriage to Jane Burkholder on December 31, 1959 in Wauseon, Ohio. He joined the Army Nation Guard. They moved to Minnesota in 1966,, where Alan worked for Peoples Natural Gas Company and they lived in various towns in Minnesota. They moved to Breezy Point in 1990, where he resided until his death. He was known in the area as the local blacksmith. He enjoyed traveling, volunteering and spending time with his family and friends.
