Alan Crimmins

Alan Eugene Crimmins, age 80, of Backus, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the Heritage House in Pequot Lakes. He was born August 20, 1935, to Edward and Opal Crimmins. Alan married Janice Aker on October 29, 1966. For many years, Alan was a roofing foreman and on the Pine River Township Board. He loved farming, hunting and making inappropriate jokes. You always knew where you stood with Alan. He was a hard worker with a loving heart that made time for anyone that needed it and he had an unforgettable grin.

Alan is survived by his wife, Janice; children: Robert, Patty Keefe (Kevin), Debra Eilers (Mike), Pamela, Heather; grandchildren: Amy, Matthew, Douglas, Craig, Tracy, Nicky, Clay, Jessie, Hannah, James, Whitney, Lamia, Jrue; 10 great grandchildren; brothers: Jerry, Pat (Sandy), Jim (Karen), Mike (Sharon), Corky (Linda), Darrel "Ole" (Nancy), Ronnie; sisters: Karen Lee, Kathy Hansen, Faye Binman (Perry); and many special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Lowell, Bill and Kenneth.

Services will be 2 PM on Saturday, August 6, at the Church of the Nazarene, Backus. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
