Agnes E. Rychner, age 89, of Staples, passed away at her home on Friday, February 15, surrounded by her family. Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, February 20, at 11:00 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Staples with Rev. Al Jeske officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery.
Agnes was born on November 5, 1918 in North Dakota to Albin and Mildred (Leroy) Anderson. On December 21, 1937 she married Ralph Rychner. Together they farmed and raised their children. She enjoyed gardening, pickling, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Womens Guild.
Agnes is survived by her daughter, Karen (Doug) Vukelich; daughter-in-law, Lil Rychner; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Buberl; numerous foster children, with Gordan and Marion Thompson being the first and longest, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; son, Bob; an infant child; her parents; and brothers; Gale and Delbert.
