Agnes Hanson

Agnes Hanson, 93, of Inver Grove Heights, MN died at her home on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Services for Agnes will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd, MN.

Agnes was born on July 6, 1922 in Charleston County in Redwood Falls, MN to John and Bertha (Hoff) Thompson. She moved to the Brainerd area with her family at an early age before moving to Montana, where she lived for thirty-three years. She worked in hotel management, home and child care for many years. In 1978 she moved to Brainerd, MN. Agnes was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Young at Heart Club, Martha Circle, Prayer Group, and she was also the coordinator of different circles at the church. Agnes enjoyed being close to watch her great-grandchildren grow.

Agnes is survived by her daughters, JoAnne (Dave) Smith of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Brenda (Ron) Francis of Inver Grove Heights, MN; four grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle; two grandsons; one great-grandson; one sister; and five brothers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
