Adeline Spilman

Adeline M. Spilman, age 79, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008, at the Bloomington Care Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 16, at Balsamlund Lutheran Church of rural Aldrich. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call beginning at 10:00 Saturday morning at the church.
Adeline Marlys Spilman was born on July 14, 1928, in Harvey, ND, the daughter of Marcus and Minnie (Alveshere) Spilman. She grew up and graduated from high school in North Dakota. She then moved to Minot, ND, and went to work for the Girl Scouts of America. Later she moved to Fargo and earned her Bachelors Degree at North Dakota State University. Following her college she went to work for the United States Veterans Administration in its loan division assisting Veterans with home and education loans. She moved several times while working for the VA, first in Minneapolis, then Seattle, WA, back to Minneapolis, then to Anchorage, AK, back to Seattle, and finally back to Minneapolis, retiring from that office. Among the things she enjoyed were the Theatre, music, reading, gourmet cooking, and traveling.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Minnie. She will be sadly missed by many loving cousins and friends.
