Ada Shay

Ada Langren Shay, 93, of Baxter passed away on Sunday March 7, 2010 at the Bethany Good Samaritan Village. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter on Thursday March 11, 2010. Reception will follow service at the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room in Baxter. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Internment will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Little Falls. Ada was born on November 10, 1916 to Benjamin and Ima (Thomas) Stebbins in Mondamon, Iowa. She was married to Raymond Langren and following his death she was married to Michael Shay on September 9, 1977. Ada lived in the Minneapolis area, Little Falls, and Brainerd Lakes Area and she enjoyed cooking, entertaining, shopping, and traveling. Ada will be sadly missed by her husband Michael of Baxter; sons; Raymond (Colleen) Langren of Brainerd, Dwight Langren, and Duane Langren both of Baxter; daughter; Paula (Wayne)Herrly of Carlos, Minnesota; sisters; Leone Brown of Mapleton, Iowa and Erma Donovan of Dayton, Ohio; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Raymond; an infant daughter; two brothers and one sister. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
