Ada Kelling

Ada Josephine (Dahlin) Kelling, 78, of Pillager, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Essentia Health – St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd after a long battle with cancer.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 8, 2018 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services.

Ada was born January 12, 1940, in Atwater, the daughter of Arthur and Harriet (Segerstrom) Dahlin. Ada held many jobs outside of her home, but being a mom and grandma was near and dear to her heart. She liked listening to the birds will working in the garden. She was a member of Grange for many years and enjoyed her time their visiting with lots of folks. She also did the books for the Lake Hubert Grange for 35 years. Ada was a member of Lord of Life Church where she quilted and made mittens for the Mitten Tree. She loved her family and she will be missed.

Ada is survived by her husband, Kenneth; son, Bob Kelling; daughters, Gail Massie and Karen (Henry) Raynor; grandchildren, Jazmin and Jade Massie, Amanda, Ryan, Kris and Nic Raynor; great-granddaughter, Zaylee Massie; siblings, Marie DeFries, Emily (Ray) Murdock, Pearl Farber, Helen (Lee) James, Inez (Lyle) Ashbaugh, and Harry (Judy) Dahlin; and sister-in-law, Joann Dahlin. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; her parents; and brother, Joe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
