Sandra O'Connell

Sandra O’Connell, 75, of Crosslake, MN passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 peacefully surrounded by her family. Services for Sandra will be 1:00PM, Friday, June 7, 2019 at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls, MN.

Sandra was born in Minneapolis, MN to Samuel and Florence (Paulsen) Ryman. She met Dennis while working at Control Data.  They married in 1968 and together had two children.  They moved to Anoka in 1973 where Sandra did in-home daycare for almost 20 years and was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church.  They spent many summer weekends with the family at their cabin in Crosslake and made that their permanent residence in 1995.  Sandra enjoyed being with family at the lake, had a love for children and dogs, quilting and gardening.  She was involved in the Crosslake Garden Club where she met some of her very dear friends.

Sandra is survived by her children, Joe O’Connell of Brainerd, MN, Kelly (Norm) Franzen of Webster, WI; grandchildren, Zachary, Ahreanna, Calvin, Angela, Nicholas and Sarah. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Dennis.
